Antiangiogenic therapy – cutting off supply lines in cancerous tumor
Angiogenesis is the physiological procedure involving the growth of new blood vessels from pre-existing vessels (1). It is also a fundamental step in the transition of tumors from a dormant state to a malignant one. The identification of an angiogenic diffusible factor derived from tumors was created initially by Greenblatt and Shubik in 1968 (2). Angiogenesis is a method controlled by specific chemicals produced in the body, some of these chemicals stimulate cells to repair damaged blood vessels or form new ones. Traditionally, patients with chronic pain are difficult to manage and pricey to treat (Hoffman, 1996 Bearman and Shafarman, 1999). Most expertise difficulties in performing common daily activities, and many are depressed, hopeless, and with out supportive family or social contacts (Cianfrini and Doleys, 2006). They are more likely to experience other clinical difficulties, be unemployed, and use alcohol and other drugs to excess (Weisberg and Clavel, 1999). Our Modern Epidemic of Autism, ADHD and Behavioral Problems
The Secretary of Well being and Human Services, Kathleen Sebelius, has made it official the CDC now reports that 1 in 100 kids are autistic. A study conducted by the National Survey of Children’s Wellness (NSCH) discovered a staggering 1 in 63 young children were reported to be autistic and the rate climbed to 1 in 38 if the child was a boy! Even more frightening is that 1 in 6 infants have developmental delays.
