Designer Genes Employment/Internship Fair is a Big Success

The Rutgers Bioscience Employment/Internship Fair held on April 22nd offered a new spin to the traditional employment fair. The small-scale event was selectively planned so company representatives could recruit students from a specified science background. Representatives from Ohm Laboratories, Chromocell Corporation, Financial Architecture, and Brighter Ideas each offered a 15 minute presentation about their company, immediately followed by a standing dinner-networking session. The event had a turnout of over 80 graduate and undergraduate majors ranging from biotechnology, genetics, cell bio and neuroscience, and chemistry, making a highly successful company-student interaction during the dinner.
