BioNJ, AeA, Advancing the Business of Technology, and the HealthCare Institute of New Jersey (HINJ) are honored to announce the names of nine outstanding individuals who will be inducted into the 2008 New Jersey High-Tech Hall of Fame on April 10, 2008, at the Crystal Plaza in Livingston, NJ. Inductee categories include Business, Research, Education and Government.

Wednesday, April 9th, 2008, from 12:00-2:00 p.m.: Everyone's Business: From Innovation to Project Management by Dr. Aaron J. Shenhar
In a changing world companies must keep introducing new products at a constantly increasing rate. This requires an effective process of innovation and project management, where almost everyone is involved. In this presentation, Dr. Shenhar will highlight what we know today about innovation and provide a roadmap for translating promising ideas into successful projects. Dr. Shenhar is the Institute Professor of Management and the founder of the project management program at Stevens Institute of Technology. His book, Reinventing Project Management: The Diamond Approach to Successful Growth and Innovation, which he co-authored, was ranked as one of the top five business books of 2007. Thursday, April 17th, 2008 from 5:00-6:30p.m.: The Biotech Transition from Academia to Wall Street by David Sable, M.D.
Rutgers University is proud to present a seminar about the role biotechnology plays in the financial investment world. Dr. Sable will discuss the value of scientific backgrounds in the business field and the advantages and disadvantages to using a science background in personal investing. His presentation will describe how biotech startups are financed and nurtured, and the career paths of science PhDs transitioning to work on Wall Street. Tuesday April 22, 2008, 6:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m.: Designer Genes proudly presents its 2008 Employment/Internship Fair
The event, sponsored by Designer Genes the Rutgers Biotechnology Networking Tool, will feature a small-scale employment fair that will allow each of the involved companies to present the students with an informative, yet brief presentation about their company. Table presentations will also be available for equipment purposes. The event is an opportunity for recruiting representatives to meet some of the biotechnology students of Rutgers University.
