Thursday June 12, 2008, from 9:00 a.m.-11:30 a.m.: Spotlight on the Life Sciences Innovation Partnership Institute
The Life Sciences Innovation Partnership Institute’s goals are focused on achieving long-term improvements in the way that individuals are prepared for careers in the life sciences by promoting collaboration among business, education and workforce development partners.  The year-long project will culminate with a mini-symposium on June 12th.  This event will feature two keynote speakers, Dr. Dennis Fenton, former Executive Vice President of Amgen, Inc. and Dr. Richard Duschl, Rutgers Professor of Science Education.  In addition, curriculum modules that have been developed and piloted to address current and future skills needs of biopharma employers will be highlighted.  Registration required, continental breakfast provided, no fee.  Location: Foran Hall, 59 Dudley Rd., Cook Campus, Rutgers University, New Brunswick, NJ.  To register, please contact Julie Altavilla at 732-932-9711 x242 or altavilla@aesop.rutgers.edu.
